The Cherry Hill Police Department will partner with Wawa to chat with residents over coffee. CHERRY HILL, NJ — Not every interaction with police occurs under pleasurable circumstances. But "Coffee with a Cop" is different. The Cherry Hill Police Department will host the program from 8-10 a.m. Friday at Wawa (904 Haddonfield Rd.). The program is meant to encourage communication and positive interactions between law enforcement and the public. The Coffee with a Cop initiative began in Hawthorne, California, in 2011, when the city's police department sought ways to more successfully interact with local citizens.
